A Deeper Shade of Green....Help us involve urban youth in the new green economy.
Historically, the environmental movement in Kansas City has not included urban youth.
But it doesn't have to be that way.
Take a look at the pictures on our website. Because of you we are changing this reality, one student at a time.
However, as a young non-profit organization, fund-development remains our biggest challenge. Please consider a donation to Green Works to cover our basic expenses so we can continue to develop the skills and experiences of deserving young people and bring about lasting change in the way they relate to the environment.
Below are a few expenses from our current budget - examples of exactly what your donation would pay for. As you can see they are all essential to our mission and getting results.
Materials for a rain garden project - $1,200
Liability and accident insurance policies - $650
Website hosting - $250
Curriculum and classroom supplies - $1,500
Student science journals - $150
When you support
Green Works, you are making an investment in a young adult that
will increase their opportunities and result in a greener and healthier Kansas City. And you are directly responsible for helping create a more diverse and equitable green movement in our community.
