October 15, 2009 –Vicki Richmond and Missouri River Relief hosted a boat ride for the students from River Front Park to Kaw Point and back.  Along the way Vicki pointed out industry sites (some abandoned and others in use), old point-source pollution pipes, old barge docks, bridges and mile markers.  At the confluence of the Missouri and Kansas rivers we stopped to observe the current.  Students spotted wildlife including wild turkeys and a Blue Herron and observed numerous beaver trails.
