Bringing kansas city kids back to nature

Our Final Projects

We are wrapping up our work in 2026 with three projects. These include a free nature curriculum, a light-hearted environmental education video featuring our ECOS nature club students and Eco Elvis, and publication of a Garden for Wildlife brochure. Learn more below.

Free Nature Curriculum

MeadowLarks Learning

We are creating a set of 16, 2-hour lessons designed for 4th – 7th graders. The lessons combine SEL and mental health concepts with nature topics. Organizations using the lessons will need to have access to a nearby safe green space.  The 8 fall lessons will be available at the end of August, 2026, and the 8 spring lessons will be available in early spring of 2027.

Video with Eco Elvis

During our last semester of ECOS Nature Club we filmed a short video with our friend Matt Riggs from Mid-America Regional Council. Matt’s alter ego is Eco Elvis. Along with Eco E, we recruited Death too! Our students had a lot of fun with this video. We hope you’re take a minute to watch and share it!
