For the 2nd year, CITI Foundation provided funding to Green Works for a money management class for our students.
The eight week class covers topics relevant to teens including budgeting, and debit and credit cards. The students play games and compete against each other on financial simulations in the computer lab. Our instructor is from UMKC Center for Economic Education, and we’re holding the sessions on the UMKC campus.
We have fifteen students who are spending their Saturday afternoons this winter hanging out at a college campus and learning new ideas to improve their futures!
